There’s a lot of data available online that has been collected and distributed by civic entities — at the local, regional, and national level. As different entities take political power, what data is collected and shared can change; take care not to casually combine data sets from different locations or different times without doing the work to ensure they actually represent the same thing. Even labels like “name”, “date”, and “location” may actually mean different things in different contexts.
