The Tatter Textile Library organized a community project to stitch a banner memorializing the victims of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire. Each of the 146 victims had their own piece of the banner with their name, and sometimes biographical details.
This data visualization uses Civic Data (records of victims) and text, along with Machine Embroidery and Surface Embroidery.
