For this embroidery, I tracked where I slept (my apartment, my girlfriend’s apartment, somewhere else) for a year, and how many kids she and I each had custody of at the time. I wanted to push myself to visualize the data in lots of different ways, using different stitches. The colors are the same across all the designs (purple = my apartment/kids, green = her apartment/kids, red = elsewhere) but each month has a different stitch / design.
This embroidery is an ongoing project.
